The FUJINON XF56mm F1.2 R portrait lens already delivered outstanding results in this respect. However, the new lens with a built-in apodisation filter now presents itself as a real bokeh giant. This portrait lens for FUJIFILM's X-series mirrorless system cameras produces portraits with an almost three-dimensional effect, as the main subject stands out impressively from the background. The new fixed focal length of the XF lens series has a high speed of F1.2 and a focal length of 56mm (85mm equivalent to KB). Like all the other lenses in the XF series, the XF56mm F1.2 R APD has been developed with impressive attention to detail. It is very comfortable to hold and the materials used, such as the metal aperture ring, emphasise the premium quality of the lens. Until now, lenses with apodisation filters only had manual focus. With this FUJINON lens, the use of contrast autofocus is possible thanks to the X bayonet. The XF56mm F1.2 R APD is the first lens with an apodisation filter to offer fast and precise autofocus. It consists of 11 elements in 8 groups, including two ED lenses and one aspherical lens. All optical elements are made entirely of glass (including the aspherical lens) and coated with FUJINON's special HT-EBC coating to minimise surface reflections. It also has seven aperture blades, which result in an almost circular aperture.
