The sharpness is phenomenal and is unrivalled, especially at close range. With its close focusing distance of just 0.38 m across all focal lengths, you have maximum freedom over your image composition from close-ups to infinity.

Even point-shaped light sources are reproduced in true detail - thanks to the complex construction of 17 lenses in 15 groups. The combined use of ARNEO and nanocrystal coating effectively reduces stray light and ghost images, even when the light comes in from very different angles.

The lens is completely sealed against the ingress of splash water or dirt for daily use under professional conditions. The fluorine coating prevents the adhesion of water, dust and dirt ? without any impairment of the imaging performance.

The zoom and focussing rings offer just the right amount of rotational resistance. The aperture can be adjusted virtually silently or exposure compensation can be made using the adjustment ring.

AF metering memory, light metering, exposure bracketing and more. Up to 21 different functions can be assigned to the function button (Fn) of the lens.

Focussed

With the OLED information display, the aperture, distance setting, exact focal length and depth of field can be quickly checked directly on the lens.
